Everything in the shop is made to order, by me, in Halifax. Here is exactly what happens after you buy.
How your order ships
Nothing sits pre-printed on a shelf. When an order comes in, I produce it with professional tools, and I check it over myself before it goes out the door. Large prints travel rolled in a sturdy shipping tube. Smaller prints and cards go flat, backed with stiff board so they arrive the way they left the studio. Every order ships with tracking, and you will get the number by email as soon as it is on its way.
How long it takes
Please allow 5 to 7 business days to print and pack your order, then normal transit time on top of that once it ships. I am one person running this studio alongside the illustration work, so I would rather tell you a lead time I can keep than promise something faster and miss it. If a piece is going to take longer than usual, for a big order or a busy stretch, I will email you and say so.
Where I ship
I ship across Canada, to the United States, and to most other countries. If you are ordering from somewhere else and are not sure whether I can reach you, write to me and I will check before you order. Any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged at your border are the buyer’s responsibility. I do not mark packages as gifts or under-declare value, and I have no control over what your country charges to let a package in.
Returns
Because every print is made specifically for your order, I am not able to accept returns for a change of mind. What I can promise is this: if your print arrives misprinted, or damaged in transit, send me a photo of the problem and I will replace it, no argument, no return shipping required from you. That covers a mistake on my end or the courier’s, which is the risk that is actually mine to carry.
Commissions are their own thing, with their own agreement made before any work starts, so they are not covered by this page. If you have a commission question, it belongs in that conversation, not here.
